Art has been a part of my life since childhood.

From childhood, I was attracted to art. After completing my basic education, I completed my bachelor's and master's in fine arts in 2016, and after that art became my life.

Nowadays art is shown in different ways such as virtually; especially at the time the pandemic started, it was very pronounced. More than ever we had the opportunity to connect with galleries, and take part exhibiting in all over the world.

5. Can you tell us more about the project you are currently working on?
Currently, I am working on the project titled - “the world's biggest womb – Nature”. Nature means not only our surroundings, it relates to our behavior too.

6. Where do you do your work?
I am currently living & working in Delhi NCR (India).

7. Do you work from life, from photographs, or from imagination?
My work concept is from nature and the way of presentation is from an imagination that makes my work unique.

8. What technique (applicable for art) do you use?
I love to use watercolor on paper mostly. But, these days, I am playing in mixed media on paper and canvas too.

I think an artist has the best opportunity to give a message through the paintings while people are enjoying it.

I completed my bachelor of fine arts from Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University, MP (2010-14), Master’s in fine arts from same university (2014-16).

The best thing about being an artist is the freedom to express myself.

The worst thing about being an artist is that usually, our work is more appreciated after death.

It is very interesting to take some different views, different observations.

Nature and relation between each and every beings inspires me a lot.

Started this project last year, where I'm transforming memories and experiences into pieces of art that could be easily relatable.

I currently work from my sitting room in Ajah, Lagos State, Nigeria.

I work from photographs and my imagination.

I paint with acrylic paint on stretched canvas. I also create scribble drawings with ink paints

What is the role of the designer/artist in society?

Well, personally, I feel artists create work that reminds us of the past, show us what's currently happening now, and shows us what the future can/will be.

What is the place of your work in society?

My work illustrates the upbringing and life of the average Nigerian which most of my viewers relate to. And I do a lot of storytelling through my art, which brings some sort of emotions to the audience. So, I feel my art plays a big role in society by connecting different people of various backgrounds and cultures to a moment on canvas they can easily relate with.

I am Besjana Kryeziu a visual artist from Kosovo, currently living in Belgium.
I have a strong character that I also show in my paintings going to my goal to the
end.

When did art/design/photography become part of your life?
First when I was started an art course it was just a curiosity to learn some lessons but
since then Art is part of my daily life.

How long have you been making art?
I discovered love for art in 2009.

What shows that the art scene has evolved over the last few years?
Nowadays art is shown in a different ways such as virtualy, especially at the time the
pandemic started it was very pronounced. More than ever we had the opportunity to
connect with galleries, and take part exhibiting in all over the world beside the
general public.

Do you have a particular artist whose work you admire of?
In the beginning I was influenced by Rembrandt and Claude Monet, but now I do not
have one in particular, there are many wonderful artists from all over the world who
display their work, and a good work is always a big impetus for an artist.

Can you tell us more about the project you are currently working on?
I am currently working on a painting series called “Women’s World” a dedication to
women expressing the world of her, starting from beauty and spanning the soul,
fashion, shapes, power, profession, courage, passion, motherhood, figuration,
overthinking, responsibilities, simplicity, sensuality, confidence in herself, etc.
Her figuration is so beautifully created, but still often prejudiced.
The message of these paintings is to feel good and colorful inside of herself no
matter what others think - above all the inner beauty matters. With this series, I want
to show that women are superior!
Women must believe in the potential they possess!

Where do you do your work?
I like to work on my living room and usually all the cute mess is there.

Do you work from life, from photographs or from imagination?
My art is like a mosaic of all but usually I work from my imagination because is very
important to show the inside energy and the individuality in the unique way.

What technique (applicable for art/design/photography) do you use?
During art work I really like to experiment and I think that over the years my periods
have been divided into different techniques, for example during my studies my
favorites have been oil paints, while I have a large number of works with the
watercolor technique and now there is a time that last 3 cycles are developed with
acrylics.

What is the role of the designer/artist in society?
I think an artist have the best opportunity to give a message through the paintings
while people are enjoying it.

Is there a purpose to your design/artwork?
My goal is that when someone sees my art to feel better and find themselves in these
artworks, also my art always conveys a message.

Where did you study?
I earned Bachelor and Master is degree from University of Prishtina – Kosovo (2015
and 2018).

What would you call your style?
My work is an abstract art with a colorful world that express a different dynamic
emotions.

What is the best thing about being a artist?
The best thing of being an artist is that you can show your momentary emotions.

What is the worst thing about being a artist?
The worst thing of being an artist is that usually our work is more appreciated after
the death. People forget that Art is not just a passion but it is a profession too that
needs to invest on it.

How do you feel when people interpret your design/artwork differently?
This happed often on abstract paintings and when I create I express myself but this
does not mean that the others will see in the same way like me, anyway I feel very
good that most of the time visitors have been able to take the good energy through
colors even if they do not understood correctly my creation.

How do you feel after you finished or while you are designing/painting?
While I’m working is a great feeling putting together the idea with all the combinations
of colors. My process of a painting goes through 4 to 5 phases and the final moment
when you have managed to unfold all these ideas together as you imagined is a
miracle.

What you draw/paint/design, is it part of your personality?
I don’t want to do just a painting so I try to choose carefully what to express on my
canvas and being focused on the strong message so yes in my paintings are part my
personality for sure.

Who or what inspires you?
I get inspired from a lot of things as music, travelling, nature, books, photography,
sand while I am seeing a good art in social media.

What advice do you have for aspiring artists?
Start the art if you want to heal the soul by transferring your emotions to the canvas,
creating your own world through colors.
